Abstract:

In 1992, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enacted the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, codified as 29 CFR 1910.1030. Biohazard signs and labeling is detailed, the use of MSDS sheets and how hazardous chemicals should be used in the dental office. OSHA's recordkeeping policies are reviewed.
