Abstract:

The method of radiographic cephalometrics has been designed and developed chiefly by orthodontists, and consequently is almost exclusively used in this specialty of dentistry.  It should be recognized, however, that roentgenographic cephalometrics can be a useful diagnostic tool for the pedodontist, prosthodontist, oral surgeon, periodontist and general practitioner of dentistry as well.  Unfortunately, the “cephalometric language” remains a mystery to clinicians in other areas of dentistry.  This course will utilize selected measurements from various analyses in order to give the clinician sufficient knowledge in the various aspects of dentistry.
